Facilities Development and Construction Engineer

Location: Solihull
Contract: Dependant on experience (can be offered CIS)

We are looking for a Facilities Development and Construction Engineer to join our dynamic Facilities & Infrastructure team. In this role, you will lead and oversee infrastructure projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Development and Construction Engineer:
  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects, coordinating functional and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and KPIs.
  • Oversee contractor management and site installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., CDM 2015).
  • Drive a no-compromise approach to site safety, ensuring benchmarks are met or exceeded.
  • Provide expert knowledge in infrastructure methods, materials, and skills requirements, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Support the development and costing of proposals, overseeing projects through to final completion.
Key Accountabilities and Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects from initial planning through to final delivery.
  • Strong background in contractor management and experience in delivering high levels of site safety performance.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering within tight timescales and budget constraints.
  • Clear understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Ability to pull together functional and cross-functional teams to achieve goals and KPIs.
  • Ability to motivate and drive a team through tough challenges.
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation.
