I am looking for a talented and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to be a vital part of a growing team. They are a forward-thinking engineering consultancy where your expertise will make a tangible impact. This is a very exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects including transportation networks, urban devleopments, renewable energy installations and large scale infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents including: Desk studies, site inspections, geological interpretation and interpretative reports
  • Contribute to the planning and procurement of ground investigations
  • Analysis of geotechnical data, preparation of ground models, design and reporting on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks specification, rock slope stabilisation
  • Independently use design software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GEO5
  • Knowledge of the implementation of the designers' duties as required under CDM (2015)
  • Coordinate with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior team involved in scheme delivery
  • Awareness of design guides and standards
  • Liaise with clients and third parties
  • Complete site visits and investigations to review project constraints and the construction process as required within schemes
