My clientare seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join theirteam delivering key infrastructure projects on HS2. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in reinforced concrete (RC), earthworks, and heavy civils while working with a well-established civil engineering contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting out and surveying works using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
- Support senior engineers in planning and supervising reinforced concrete, earthworks, and heavy civils operations.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and health & safety standards.
- Assist in preparing method statements, risk assessments, and reports.
- Monitor progress against project schedules and contribute to problem-solving on-site.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of works.
- Maintain accurate site records, including material and equipment tracking.
Requirement:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. (2:1 minimum)
- Strong understanding of construction and engineering methods.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, surveying equipment, and site engineering techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
