Highways Design Engineer

Our client in the West Midlands is currently seeking a Highways Design Engineer to contribute to their ongoing projects. This contract role is ideal for professionals specialising in the design of highways infrastructure, including roundabouts, pavements, cycleways, and junctions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design efficient and sustainable highways infrastructure, including roundabouts, junctions, and cycleways.
- Prepare and oversee pavement designs, ensuring proper implementation.
- Ensure all designs comply with the latest industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth execution of both design and construction phases.
- Perform technical analyses and develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
- Maintain clear, accurate project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.

Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in highway design and engineering.
- Expertise in designing a range of highways infrastructure, including cycleways, roundabouts, and junctions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a contract role.
- Highly motivated, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Contract Details:
- 3-month rolling contract
- 37-hour work week
