The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food process industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager - Process Pipework and Plant Installations to join the company supporting projects in Birmingham and across the West Midlands from the company's head office in Birmingham.

Duties

As a suitably experienced mechanical project manager, you will be working with a variety of food and beverage clients on live production facilities in Birmingham and across the West Midlands. With responsibility to project manage, through the complete life cycle from tender to completion, process pipework and plant installation works, ranging in value from £10k to £5m. Duties will include managing labour and materials, programming works, preparing tenders, negotiating contracts and working with the senior management team to secure ongoing work for the company. All projects will be within the food and beverage production sector.

About You

Based ideally in the Midlands you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 2JL.

Demonstrable experience of mechanical project management ideally within the food industry with particular knowledge of coordinating labour and materials, arranging plant and ensuring projects are completed on time within budget and to the client's satisfaction.

A good working knowledge of welding, process pipework, stainless steel fabrication and the associated plant and equipment would be a definite advantage.
