Your new role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project programme for work on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will establish excellent working partnerships with suppliers, sub-contractors, clients, and all other stakeholders. Your role will also involve ensuring the quality of service and safety is paramount at all times, as well as project management including estimation.Main Tasks & Duties:Initial Site Set Up:

  • Liaise on site with the Design & Estimation Engineer to examine design and formulate requirements to ensure work on site runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage site set up once the design package is agreed.
  • Ensure the site is set up within the main contractor or sub-contractors.
  • Arrange and attend any pre-site meetings considered necessary.
  • Ensure the creation and management of the project programme.
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Welfare is applicable and sufficient for the site, including Site Specific Risk Assessment and production of Method Statement.
  • Ensure sufficient supply of labour to meet programming.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager.
  • Ensure site employees and sub-contractors are suitably trained and qualified for the work required for each specific project.

System Support to Enable Site Set Up:

  • Source cost-effective training providers.
  • Ensure training and necessary qualifications and certificates are kept up to date.
  • Monitor the success of the training provision.
  • Maintain an approved list of sub-contracted labour and ensure all necessary information is recorded.
  • Stay aware of current and forthcoming industry legislation and standards, health & safety law, and environmental legislation.
  • Source cost-effective suppliers for plant, equipment (including PPE), and materials.
  • Raise and address any quality issues relating to any supplier.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all labour connected with sites.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work related to environmental issues is carried out in line with company policy.
  • Complete, record, and file all required paperwork as per company policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to the Quality Management system and report any non-conformance.
  • Be fully conversant with all safety requirements of the site as per Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Report any health & safety issues to the Department Manager.
  • Adhere to company policies and assist in the training of others when required.
  • Contribute to the introduction of new technology and methods of working.
  • Undertake any additional training deemed necessary by the company.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
