I have been asked to find a Site Engineer for an ongoing project in the Birmingham area. My client is one of the top RC specialists in the UK and they are active in the commercial, residential and Civil Engineering sectors.

This particular requirement is on a package for a civils project and once this one is completed there should be further packages to work on.

The rate available is somewhere between £300 and £350 with room for negotiation for exceptional candidates. The ideal candidate will need the following:

Experience in the setting out of reinforced concrete structures- this will need to be civils structures- bridges, tunnels, efw plants/power.

It is also beneficial if you are main contractor trained and have large infrastructure experience.

Applicants for this opportunity will need to possess the following:

High degree of attention to detail.

The  ability to take ownership of a section of the project.

Making sure that the Inspection and Test Plan is followed and all supporting documents are completed in a timely fashion. (ITPs)

The ability to keep up to date records of their work area including as built surveys, traceability records of concrete pours, site diary and so on.

Experience of the production and maintenance of Quality Record Plans (QRP’s) for each element of work within their section of works.

The ability to update Method Statements and Risk Assessments as required on site.

You will also need a Civil Engineering degree background and be able to read and understand plans/drawings as well as the ability to set out daily works accurately and in a timely fashion.
