Position: Building Surveyor

Salary: 41,999 Salary

Location: Birmingham / Coventry

Contract: Permanent (PAYE)

Bonuses/Benefits: Company Pension (10% Contributions), Life Insurance, 25 days Holiday Allowance plus Bank Holidays.

Requirements: You will be required to use your own vehicle and claim milage back.

Think Recruitment are currently looking for a MRICS Qualified Building Surveyor based local to Birmingham, to carry out Building Inspections on the following within Social Housing properties:

  • Disrepair Domestic Properties
  • Structural Projects
  • Investment Programme Projects

Other duties will include:

  • Records Management
  • You will be expected to work from the Office but also required to travel to multiple sites across Birmingham/West Midlands.
  • To assist in the planning and organising of tasks from initiation to completion which identifies resource, facility and equipment requirements to complete the task.
  • Mail service for outgoing and incoming mail
  • Drafting / typing letters, documents and email communications
  • Answering queries by telephone / email
  • Taking minutes of meetings
  • Ordering supplies
  • Arranging for the display of public notices of meetings
  • Production and dispatch of agendas
  • Liaison with the Chair and/or Vice Chair to facilitate arrangement and administration of meeting
  • Maintaining the Forward Plans
  • Maintaining distribution lists and outlook invitations
  • Records Management
  • Taking minutes of meetings
  • Arranging for the display of public notices of meetings
  • Production and dispatch of agendas
  • Maintain relationships through positive engagement and influence with different parts of the organisation, including interaction with internal and external customers.

Experience/Skills required:

  • Excellent Customer Service skills are required.
  • MRICS Qualification is essential.
  • Ideally 5 years' experience in a similar role as a Building Surveyor.
  • Ideally worked within a Social Housing/Local Authorities environment.
  • Good IT Skills.
  • You will be required to have a full DBS carried out if successful, the DBS would need to be clear to be considered.
