About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civil CAD Technician to join one of the largest and most respected design consultancies in the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on Network Rail schemes, specifically station design projects. You will play a key role in delivering innovative, efficient, and high-quality design solutions using industry-standard tools like Civil 3D and Revit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, modify, and review detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit software.
- Develop design solutions for Network Rail schemes, with a focus on station upgrades, refurbishment, and other rail-related infrastructure projects.
- Utilize Revit for 3D modeling and coordination to enhance project efficiency and collaboration.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure design deliverables meet project requirements and standards.
- Ensure all drawings and models adhere to relevant standards, specifications, and client expectations.
- Manage and organize CAD and BIM data in line with company procedures and project protocols.
- Provide technical input and expertise during the design and review process.
- Assist in resolving technical challenges and contribute to design improvements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with strong proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Previous experience working on rail infrastructure projects, particularly Network Rail schemes.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and rail-related design standards.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and data management, especially within the Revit environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with working within IR35 contracts is desirable.
