Construction Internal Quality Assessor

Stanfords Training Ltd, based in Birmingham, is seeking a vibrant, committed and high achieving NVQ/QCF Internal Quality Assurer to monitor, support assessors with assessing judgments and providing training and development support within the construction sector. The Internal Quality Assurer must have achieved a D32, D33 and 34 or V1 award and have a high level and up to date competence and understanding of the construction occupational area and the apprenticeship standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate the assessments carried out by trainers and assessors to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Design, develop and deliver an individual programme of training and assessment to ensure successful completion of the apprentices individual learning plan within the planned duration.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of training and assessment processes, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Ensure that all assessments comply with the relevant awarding body regulations and national standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and verifications, including reports on performance and improvement plans.
  • Provide guidance and training to assessors on best practices in assessment and verification
  • Offer support to apprentices regarding assessment processes and standards
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and assessment practices

  • Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post, which the Managing Director or their senior management representative may from time to time require

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry and knowledge of relevant qualifications and standards
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • An Internal Verifier qualification (such as IV or V1)
  • CAVA / A1 assessor award
  • Level 3 Teacher Qualification/PTLLS
  • Knowledge and understanding of current best practices in assessment and verification.
