My client, a social value driven, sustainability focused and international consultancy, are seeking a new Fire Engineer to join their central Birmingham office of 40+ Engineers.

This is an opportunity to become a part of a team of over 100 Fire Engineers Uk wide, many of which are chartered.

The Fire Engineer's Role

With projects spanning across a multitude of sectors including commercial, infrastructure and residential, you'll have an enjoyable and varied workload to cut your teeth on.

Duties will inlcude but not be limited to:

  • Developing and reviewing fire strategies
  • Offering strategic advice
  • Inspections of sites
  • Fire safety analysis
  • Supporting junior Fire Engineers in their learning and development
  • Attending CPD events (Both internal and external)

The Successful Fire Engineer will have?

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Fire Safety Engineering or related Engineering field
  • Member of the IFE - Ideally chartered or working towards chartership

Knowledge:

  • RIBA stages of design or other design frameworks (E.g. GRIP)
  • Experience delivering Fire Engineering within a UK based consultancy
  • Familiarity with appropriate legislation and design guidance for use in the UK
