As a Senior IT Engineer, You'll:

  • Lead and Innovate: Oversee cutting-edge internal IT, networking, and cloud-hosted services.
  • Architect Excellence: Create and maintain detailed systems architecture diagrams for documentation and support.
  • Fortify Security: Ensure the security of data, network, and backup systems.
  • Drive Upgrades: Manage hardware and software configuration upgrades through expert project management.
  • Solve and Strategise: Identify and resolve system issues with strategic, forward-thinking solutions.
  • Evaluate and Recommend: Assess new technologies, perform cost/benefit analyses, and make impactful recommendations.
  • Budget Smartly: Contribute to IT budgeting for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, managing the IT Helpdesk System and resolving end-user issues.

To Thrive in This Role, You'll Need:

  • Extensive Experience: Hands-on expertise in senior IT roles, covering network administration, IP/data routing, switching, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Cisco Mastery: Proficiency in administering Cisco network environments with demonstrable expertise.
  • Apple Ecosystem Proficiency: Deep familiarity with managing macOS and iOS user bases, including proficiency with Jamf or similar Mac device management systems.
  • Cloud Savvy: Knowledge in managing Google Workspace (G-Suite), Okta or equivalent, Atlassian products, Zoom, and other cloud-first IT systems.
  • AWS Expertise: Experience in cloud-based IT service management, notably AWS infrastructure components, including on-prem to AWS network bridging.
  • Networking Know-How: Strong understanding of VPN, DNS, DHCP, LANs/VLANs, especially within Cisco networking environments, and experience in firewall management (preferably Palo Alto).
  • Helpdesk Excellence: Proficiency in managing IT ticketing systems against SLAs, with adept record-keeping skills and the capability to research, design, and propose cost-effective solutions.

Bonus Points For:

  • Apple Certifications: Such as ACSP, Jamf training, or equivalent Apple business qualifications.
  • Okta Expertise: Completion of Okta Essentials training and certification.
  • Networking Certifications: CCNP and/or CCNA or similar qualifications.
  • Linux Knowledge: Certifications across any vendor/distribution.
  • Security Standards: Experience with ISO 27001 and other security compliance standards.
  • ITIL Foundation: Certification in ITIL V3.
  • Zoom Mastery: Proficiency in managing Zoom collaboration services, including video conferencing and Zoom phone.
