THE ROLE

An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Director to join their team. This role will be focussed on generating revenue into the venue spaces from corporate clients via incoming enquiries and identifying opportunities.  

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively build sales pipeline
  • Contribute to the department’s sales strategy
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Conversion of incoming enquiries for large scale events
  • Providing a bespoke solution to each client to meet needs
  • Building a network and contacts within the sector
  • Working towards revenue targets to maximise the profitability of accounts
  • Upselling on additional ancillary services for existing confirmed event bookings
  • Reporting on progress, account development and sales activity
  • Developing sales reports and maintaining client records

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing business with a proactive and forward thinking approach. We are ideally looking for individuals from within an event or corporate background. You will have strong commercial acumen and be confident in building strong relationships quickly having held a senior role within a sales environment.
