Business Development Director - National

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team as a Business Development Director in the key emerging Compass Group UK market The Cuisine Centre. 

Sitting on the senior leadership team the Business Development Director will be responsible for setting the strategic plan for growth, including new and existing clients, expanding into new markets and delivering annual budget. As a key face and voice in the market the Business Development Director will manage the strategic partnerships with suppliers, partners and integrators, shape our go to market proposition and commercial model. 

As Business Development Director your primary responsibility is to generate new business to drive sales and profitability to meet budgetary targets as well as playing an active role in retaining key current clients. You will confidently and competently manage all ‘steps of the sale’ from first appointment to site survey, proposal compilation to presentation and following successful bids to secure signed contract and thoroughly hand over to operational team. 

The successful Business Development Director will:

  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment. 
  • Embrace proven sales process and ways of working. 
  • Be highly target focused with a passion for sales  and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Have experience of managing the end-to-end sales process.
  • Be able to develop and deliver a sales strategy that maximises potential sales and profitability. 
  • Have experience proposing and gaining agreement for tender submissions that cover the needs and expectations of all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of selling contracted services in the chilled, ambient meal markets desirable but not essential.
