Your new companyYou will be joining a multidisciplinary civil engineering contractor based in the Midlands. The company has a strong pipeline of work across the UK and offer excellent opportunities for progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader within the civil engineering industry. Due to significant growth the contractor is now looking to onboard a Commercial Manager to their team.
Your new roleIn this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, reviewing commercial plans to deliver maximum margin, managing CVRs on a monthly basis, providing contractual advice during the tendering process, managing monthly commercial audit processes, managing and reviewing costs to complete forecasts, maximising monthly valuations as well as dealing with claim preparations, final account negotiations and settlements.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and have previous experience in surveying and commercial line management. You will be well-versed with NEC forms of contracts and come from a Civil Engineering background. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and networking skills and be able to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines.
