Job Description:
As a 5 Axis Milling Setter, Operator, and Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-precision components while adhering to quality standards and maintaining efficiency in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation:
- Set up and operate Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines.
- Ensure machines are properly calibrated and running efficiently.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings during production to maintain optimal performance.
Programming:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Hurco WinMax online programming software.
- Utilize offline CAM programming software to develop complex toolpaths and programs for 5 Axis operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machine issues as they arise.
Quality Control & Inspection:
- Conduct regular quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM).
- Ensure components meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure continued high-performance.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with production teams to ensure the smooth flow of manufacturing processes.
- Report any machine breakdowns, tooling issues, or program errors to supervisors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements:
- Proven experience setting up, operating, and programming Hurco 5 Axis Milling machines
- Proficiency in WinMax online programming software.
- Experience with offline CAM programming for 5 Axis milling operations.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques, tooling, and cutting strategies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications in CNC machining or equivalent experience.
