A Bandsaw Operator / Overhead Crane Operator is required to join a steel company based in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate to join an established steel company. You will be operating a bandsaw to cut steel to size, working with bar / sections, long product.
The duties required for this role include;
- Operating a bandsaw
- Measuring and cutting steel to size (bar / section)
- Operating an overhead crane to load the saw
- Any warehousing / other duties as and when required
The working hours and pay rate for this role are as follows;
- Monday to Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break (40 hours).
- £11.80+ per hour, dependent on experience.
The position will be a temp to perm contract, with long-term prospects following a probationary period through the agency.
