Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Brake Press Operator to join on a permanent basis.Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and configure the Amada brake press machine according to job specifications and technical drawings.
  • Adjust machine settings, including speed, angle, and pressure, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safely and efficiently handle raw materials, ensuring proper positioning for accurate bends and shapes.
  • Operate the brake press machine with confidence to bend, shape, or cut raw materials based on blueprints and instructions.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify and address any issues or deviations from the planned process.
  • Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments to correct defects or inconsistencies.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn components. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating brake press machines is essential, preferably with Amada equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, including an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Knowledge of machine setup, tooling, and programming.
  • Experience in handling raw materials efficiently and safely.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct quality issues during production.
  • Ability to program machines, create tools, and recognize tooling requirements based on experience.
  • Confidence to work independently, using initiative and expertise to complete tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to following health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Amada brake press training would be an advantage
