We are seeking a semi-skilled CNC Machine Operator for a leading manufacturer in Birmingham. Our client is a leading company specialising in manufacturing and stock of stainless-steel tubes and compression fittings. As specialist suppliers of instrumentation packages, we deliver to destinations worldwide.
The right candidate will have experience working as a CNC operator, operating and maintaining computer numerically controlled machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities: -
" Operating CNC machines such as Fanuc and Mazak for milling and turning operations.
" Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
" Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications
" Adjust settings to optimise production output and quality
" Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
" Plan & specify tooling requirements, including jigs and fixtures, tool changes and amendments including offset adjustments
" Produce components within drawing tolerances/limits
" Use measuring equipment such as verniers and callipers to maintain precision.
Requirements: -
" Competently operating CNC lathes, turners and Milling machines
" Minimum of 2 years' experience operating computerised machinery
" Experience using a range of measuring tools and equipment
" Computer literate and experience using Microsoft office programme
" Produce accurate high-quality components
Shift Details:
" Monday - Thursday: 08:00am - 16:30pm Friday 08:00am- 12.30pm
" 15 minutes break at 10:00am and a 1/2-hour lunch at 12:30pm
" Overtime opportunities available
