Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team is delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business within close proximity of Birmingham. We are currently supporting the business in their search for a CNC Miller to join their team with an existing knowledge of programming using Fanuc.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.15pm / Friday 8am – 3.30pm
  • Salary: £16.50 p/h (£34,320)
  • Overtime: 1.3 / 1.5 x basic rate
  • Holiday: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays

The Role:

  • Program , set and operate the following machines; Daewoo and Doosan twin pallet loader milling machine, Mynx milling machine. Kytamura twin pallet loader milling machine, Mazak single pallet milling machine
  • Read technical drawings
  • Set various gauges from Vernier’s; micrometres (metric and imperial); gap gauges through to comparators
  • Machining a variety of batch sizes
  • Machining a variety of components from Carbon steel and super duplex

Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained or time-served in a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming
  • Skilled in using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
  • Knowledge of both Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
