CNC Service Engineer – Company Overview

Our client, a market leading manufacturer and distributor of a range of CNC Machinery, are seeking an experienced CNC Service Engineer to join their dynamic team, on a full-time basis. The successful CNC Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and breakdown support of various CNC machinery.

CNC Service Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and effective breakdown support for CNC machinery, diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
  • Plan, install, and commission CNC machines at customer sites, ensuring machines are operational and meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular servicing and preventative maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and avoid unexpected downtime.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, providing technical advice and support both on-site and remotely.
  • Take control of your own diary, managing call-outs and appointments within a 2-hour radius of your home address.
  • Complete service reports, maintenance records, and relevant paperwork to ensure accurate and timely communication with the office and customers.

CNC Service Engineer – Skills & Experience

  • Service engineering experience, ideally with CNC machinery.
  • Strong electrical knowledge and experience with fault-finding on electrical systems.
  • Experience working in customer-facing roles, with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to non-technical clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Full, Clean UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight occasionally if required.
