Role & Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC vertical Hurco machines with Winmax controls, including 2 machines with 4th axis capabilities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Conduct measurements and work to tight tolerances to produce high-quality components.
- Use OneCNC and Fusion software for offline programming (advantageous but not essential).
- Carry out production and machine operation duties safely and efficiently.
- Inspect work during and after production, ensuring batch work is monitored for consistency.
- Maintain and label jigs and specialist tooling for future use.
- Ensure work areas remain clean and organised, separating swarf and preparing bins for emptying.
- Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers, representing the company respectfully and adhering to site-specific health and safety procedures where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-years' experience operating Hurco CNC machines.
- Fully skilled in all aspects of CNC milling.
- Ability to program directly using Hurco software, OneCNC and DXF files.
- Confident working from engineering drawings or samples.
- Experience producing one-offs, small, and large batch work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Competence in conducting pre-use checks and dynamic risk assessments, reporting machinery issues to management.
