Position SummaryThe CNC Lathe Programmer Setter Operator will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. The role involves producing large one-off and small batch parts, with specifications of up to 3 meters in length and 500 cm in diameter.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
- Download programs from our CAD/CAM system to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Work from engineering drawings to manufacture components according to specifications.
- Utilize all relevant measuring equipment in both metric and imperial units to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Essential:
- Fully skilled CNC lathe programmer, setter, and operator with experience in Fanuc controls.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience working with large parts (up to 3m in length and 500cm in diameter).
- Desirable:
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
