Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team is delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business within close proximity of Birmingham. We are currently supporting the business in their search for a CNC Turner to join their team with an existing knowledge of programming using Fanuc or Siemens.
Working Hours & Pay
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.15pm / Friday 8am – 3.30pm
- Salary: £16.50 p/h (£34,320)
- Overtime: 1.3 / 1.5 x basic rate
- Holiday: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
The Role:
- Program , set and operate the following machines; Twin spindle lathes and single spindle lathes with live tooling and multi bar feeds
- Read technical drawings
- Set various gauges from Vernier’s; micrometres (metric and imperial); gap gauges through to comparators
- Machining a variety of batch sizes
- Machining a variety of components from Carbon steel and super duplex
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained or time-served in a similar role
- Proficiency in programming
- Skilled in using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
- Knowledge of both Fanuc and Mazatrol controls
