We are seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team in West Bromwich. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the steel industry and be proficient in manual handling work. This role involves operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake machinery to produce metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and positioning metal sheets.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in the steel industry.
- Proficiency in operating press brake machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong manual handling skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (day shift: 6am - 2pm, evening shift: 2pm - 10pm).
