We are currently recruiting for an experienced press brake setter operator on behalf of our client based in Aston.
The Press Brake Setter/Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Set up and adjust press brake machines by installing dies, tooling, and setting machine parameters for each job.
- Operating Press Brake: Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets or parts to the required specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine the correct specifications, tolerances, and materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and tolerances. Adjust machine settings as needed to correct any issues.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and standards while operating machinery. Ensure that the work area is clean and safe at all times.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production quantities, material usage, and machine maintenance
Working hours 38 per week
This role will be temporary to permanent with immediate starts available
