Alliance Personnel are currently recruiting for Power Press Setter Operator to join one of their engineering clients based in Birmingham.

The client are a tooling and presswork business based in large modern premises close to the city centre of Birmingham. They supplyAerospace and Automotive businesses.Theirpower press capacity is up to300 tonnes, and they have an on-site tool room and CNC machine shop to produce our tools and machined components. They operate a safe working environment with friendly staff and clean facilities.

Reporting directly to the Press Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for setting and running power presses as required, as well as all the other duties in the below job description.

  • To perform the accurate settings of presses ensuring optimum speeds are maintained ensuring the safety of operatives and tooling.
  • To operate presses following processes set by the company whilst maintaining the required level of output at all times.
  • Operating all lifting equipment available to ensure the safe movement of equipment, tools, and materials to various locations of the workshop.
  • To do basic checks of components during production using the appropriate inspection equipment, gauges, and visual checks against technical drawings.
  • Work within the quality control system and process measures for every stage of production, completing all necessary documentation as required.
  • Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are stored in their correct location.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and follow 5S housekeeping.
  • Ensure all levels of PPE are worn at all times and follow the Health & Safety policies.

Person Specification

You will have experience working as a press setter and hold a RoSPA certificate. The ability to follow processes and procedures while maintaining output requirements set by the company.

FLT Licence Advantageous
