My client is a leading tooling and presswork company located in modern facilities near Birmingham city centre. They serve Tier 1 Aerospace and Automotive clients, as well as smaller businesses, and have power press capabilities of up to 300 tonnes.
Job Overview
As a Press Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating power presses, ensuring safe operation and maintaining output. Reporting to the Press Shop Supervisor, your key duties will include:
" Accurately setting presses for optimum performance while ensuring safety for both operators and tooling.
" Operating presses according to company procedures and maintaining required output levels.
" Using lifting equipment to safely move tools, materials, and equipment around the workshop.
" Conducting basic quality checks of components using inspection tools and visual checks against technical drawings.
" Completing required documentation and adhering to quality control standards at every stage of production.
" Maintaining a clean and organised work environment following 5S housekeeping practices.
" Complying with Health & Safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
Requirements
" At least 3 years of experience in power press setting.
" ROSPA Certificate (required).
" FLT Licence (advantageous).
