TSA surveying is representing a large established client who is looking to expand their Birmingham office. They are focused on continuing the recent growth of building surveyors with a team of twelve currently working out of the Birmingham office in the development plan. This company has been involved in successful expansions of multi academy trusts and new build regenerations.

The client is seeking an experienced building surveyor with a preferred background in project related work who is based in the West Midlands to oversee a range of projects which will focus predominantly educational expansions and refurbishment. A main responsibility in this role will be the successful support of school estates to provide them with a better understanding of their current needs, support through their funding application with the aim of competition of project work until concluded. Alongside this, the client has branched out to undertaken other public sector work with a focus on healthcare. The company has recently undertaken projects varying from £50k roofing replacement to £1.4m school expansion in commercial and educational settings. Furthermore, the client has an established presence in the education sector working alongside 15% of all schools across the UK.

An expectation will be placed that the right candidate will be over two years experience with preferably project management involvement. While being chartered is not critical for this role, a strong desire to learn and development to enhance the continued growth of the team is vital. In relation to this, an enhanced DBS due to the environment of the work project. With working amongst a variety of professionals include architects and quantity surveyors, this opportunity could be the perfect next career opportunity.
