VGC Group are looking for experienced Crane Supervisor to start on a project in Water Orton, Birmingham. This contract is available to start on 06/10/2024 to a successful candidate.

Role: Crane Supervisor

Location: Water Orton, Birmingham

Salary:  £24.76 - £32.94 per hour PAYE (night shift rate £32.94 per hour starts after 7pm each day)

Hours: 2pm - 1am and 7pm - 7am 

Contract: Full time, ongoing

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications: Blue CPCS NVQ LVL2 Crane Supervisor Card/NPORS, SSSTS

Crane Supervisor experience

Your role as a Crane Supervisor will be based in Water Orton, Birmingham and will consist of:

  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Develop lifting plans and ensure they are followed during crane operations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other personnel to schedule lifting activities.
  • Assess the site for potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety briefings prior to lifting operations.
  • Ensure all lifting activities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor the work environment to ensure the safety of all personnel involved in crane operations.
  • Oversee the setup and dismantling of cranes on site.
  • Supervise crane operators, riggers, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
  • Ensure that lifting equipment and accessories are properly inspected, maintained, and certified.
  • Act as the main point of contact for crane operations on site.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with crane operators and other site personnel.
  • Relay instructions and information accurately to ensure efficient and safe lifting operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all lifting operations, including risk assessments, safety checks, and incident reports.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and submitted as required.
  • Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Based in Water Orton, Birmingham remuneration for this role is £24.76 - £32.94 per hour PAYE (night shift rate £32.94 per hour starts after 7pm each day) per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
