Electrical Supervisor / Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the supervision of electrical installations and modifications. This is a working supervisor role that involves ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical works while maintaining compliance with standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide working supervision to the Electrical Installation Teams
  • Directly report to the Principal and/or Lead Engineer.
  • Ensure the safe working of tradespersons under your supervision.
  • Ensure all personnel adhere to safe working practices.
  • Delegate works provided by the Principal or Lead Engineer.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with approved RAMs and support defining any dynamic RAMs as required.
  • Support and attend all site meetings as directed by the Principal and/or Lead Engineer.
  • Organise and manage material ordering.
  • Perform competent electrical installations according to drawings.
  • Read and understand complex engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Install and modify cable trays, trunking, and conduits.
  • Install and modify power and data cables.
  • Wire power and control cabinets and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical installation issues using root cause analysis and document resolutions.
  • Assist PLC and Robot programmers in troubleshooting installation and early commissioning issues.
  • Work weekends when required.

Skills and Experience Required

  • SSSTS/SMSTS Card.
  • Proven and demonstrable experience managing tradespersons in an industrial workplace.
  • BS7671 18th Electrical Regulations.
  • JIB Registered.
  • ECS GOLD Card Minimum.
  • IPAF 3a/3b.
  • Previous experience working on industrial electrical installation projects within a production or automotive environment.
  • Equipped with a comprehensive tool kit suitable for the role.
