A multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy that has been operating for over a century, with 50+ staff are seeking a Graduate Building Surveyor to join them in their Birmingham office. In return the Graduate Building Surveyor will receive, first class APC support, a salary of up to £30k (DOE), 33 days holiday, private healthcare, hybrid working, flexible start & finish times and the chance to work on a mix of professional & project work

The Graduate Building Surveyor will be working on a range of commercial and residential projects responsible for; dilapidations, schedule of conditions surveys, tender reviews, party wall work and specification writing. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will hold or be close to completing a relevant degree or qualification in Building Surveying or similar. Industry experience is advantageous but by no means essential. Candidates must also be able to commute to Birmingham.

This particular client is a multi-discipline consultancy offering Clients; Quantity Surveying, Employer's Agent, Building Surveying and Principal Designer services across a broad range of commercial sectors on major development projects ranging from £1 million to £100 million.

Graduate Building Surveyor Position Overview

  • Conduct site inspections and surveys for building projects
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on property conditions
  • Advise on building regulations and health & safety standards
  • Support in the preparation of tenders and contract documents
  • Monitor and oversee building maintenance and repair work
  • Assist with feasibility studies and cost estimations for projects
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and building codes
  • Conduct dilapidation surveys and provide recommendations for improvements

Graduate Building Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Relevant degree or qualification in Building Surveying or similar (RICS Accredited)
  • Work experience is advantageous (not essential)
  • Full driving licence
  • Able to commute to Birmingham
