WRG is supporting an independent property & construction consultancy who are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Inspector to their team in Birmingham. Our client has an established team of construction professionals offering building surveying, cost management, project management and H&S/ CDM services to projects across the West Midlands and on a national level.

They oversee a range of commercial, education, mixed use, retail, leisure, healthcare and residential projects for their diverse client base. This role would be more focused on a particular UK hotel client, due to the nature of the role the H&S Inspector will need to travel across the country to carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments on these live projects to ensure H&S compliance.

The role would suit a competent H&S/ CDM professional who has experience of carrying out site inspection/ risk assessments in previous roles, enjoys travel and staying away from home.

What Youll Be Doing:

Assist with the preparation of pre-construction information.

Review construction phase plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

Provide advice to contractors on health and safety legislation.

Undertake site inspections and monitoring visits to determine health & safety compliance.

Ensure inspections are completed efficiently and within assigned resource profile.

Coordinate with team members who are responsible for undertaking health and safety inspections.

Health and safety inspection planning, scheduling and logistics.

Support the senior staff as required.

Requirements:

Health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) desirable but not essential

Construction experience and knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with contractors and stakeholders

A proactive, professional, and personable approach

Full UK driving license and access to a car.

Apply:
