Are you an experienced Senior Site Manager looking for your next big challenge with a Tier 1 contractor?
We're hiring on behalf of one of the UK's top 10 contractors, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors, with a strong focus on public sector developments (80% of their portfolio). This is an incredible opportunity to join a respected industry leader on a flagship £20m school project in Birmingham.
The Role:You'll be the #2 on-site, reporting directly to the Project Lead. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be pivotal in driving the project forward-ensuring that safety, quality, and programme targets are met. From managing subcontractors to liaising with key stakeholders, you'll be at the heart of delivering a project that will make a real difference to the local community.
Key Responsibilities:?? Assist the Project Lead in managing day-to-day site operations?? Oversee programme delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to?? Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring top-tier health and safety standards?? Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team? Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with project specifications
What We're Looking For:?? Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale projects (£10m+)?? A background working with Tier 1 contractors is desirable?? Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills?? Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid)?? Experience in public sector projects (especially education) is a plus
