Site (Facade) Manager - Main Contractor - Central Birmingham

Location: Central BirminghamProject: 30-Storey Student AccommodationSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Package

Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced Facade Manager to oversee the external envelope package on a 30-storey student accommodation project in Central Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects.

The Role:

As a Facade Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the facade and external envelope works. You will coordinate with subcontractors, design teams, and site management to ensure quality, programme, and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing all aspects of facade and external envelope installation, including cladding, curtain walling, glazing, and insulation.

  • Managing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project deadlines.

  • Implementing and monitoring health & safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Liaising with project managers, architects, and consultants to resolve any design or technical challenges.

  • Conducting regular site inspections to maintain quality control.

  • Reporting on progress and any potential risks to senior management.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Facade Manager or similar role within main contracting.

  • Strong knowledge of facade systems, cladding, and curtain walling.

  • Previous experience working on high-rise residential, student accommodation, or commercial projects.

  • Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification preferred.
