Role Description:

We are delighted to be networking for a Head of Projects for one of our clients, an innovative company delivering specialist cleaning services to clients across the UK. As Head of Projects, you will be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers to provide the highest standards in service delivery, budgetary management and reporting. You will be required to expertly manage client relationships and expectations, both onsite and remotely. The ideal Head of Projects will have relevant experience in a Senior Project Management or Operational role, with prior experience in specialist cleaning. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking Team at a period of growth, with exciting opportunities ahead.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the UK Operations Director

  • National travel will be required

  • Staying away from home will be required where Projects dictate

  • Work as part of a National Team to deliver Major and Minor Projects

  • Work with Sales and National Accounts to take ownership of new project wins

  • Compile project plans to measure delivery, progress and success

  • Execute governance and oversight of Projects

  • Manage project budget and P&L

  • Work with Operations team to schedule and resource projects effectively

  • Ensure required equipment and materials are procured via approved supply chain

  • Work with Supply Chain team to resource trained and qualified temporary staff where required in good time

  • Work and coordinate subcontractors where applicable to deliver a seamless integration with the project deliverables

  • Manage site permits, passes, inductions, training, with the delivery team to prevent delays and or issues

  • Mobilise project delivery including supporting resourcing and briefing teams

  • Manage on site Health & Safety compliance with support from Head of SHEQ

  • Track and report on project progress and budget

  • Highlight quickly any issues that require line management escalation within the delivery team or client management team

  • Manage behaviours of site delivery team

  • Identify and support training requirements of operational delivery teams

  • On Major Projects own the delivery of the project inclusive of daily on site client interaction and updates

  • Feedback to Account Manager regularly for central meetings and updates

  • Identify opportunities for future or further work on site with clients and support any proposal

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy and mathematical ability

  • Strong communication skills

  • IT skills for working with Office and CRM systems

  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally

  • Competence in Microsoft Office products, XL and accounting software programmes

  • Calm, confident characteristics

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a demanding workload

  • Ability to hold personal client information in the strictest confidentiality

  • Full clean UK Drivers licence

  • 3-5 years’ experience of working in Senior Project Management or Operational Role

  • IOSH or NEBOSH Qualified

  • IPAF and PASMA desirable (training provided otherwise)

  • Experience of delivering projects on site

  • Prior experience with working at height

  • Prior experience in Specialist Cleaning
