Your new companyHays are delighted to be working exclusively with an established utilities contractor based in the Birmingham area working on high-profile electrical contracts. This organisation offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development as well as the opportunity to work on an array of exciting projects. Due to continued contract wins, they are looking to onboard a Project Manager to join their team.Your new roleAs Project Manager, you will be based in the Birmingham area and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors on multi-site projects
  • Conducting site visits and inspection to ensure compliance with safety regulations and specifications
  • Providing regular project updates and reports to senior management
  • Ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site at all times
  • Collaborating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring schemes are delivered safely on time, within budget and to expected quality.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience of managing civil projects from inception through to completion on power/electrical contracts
  • CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
