Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join their Birmingham office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of high-impact projects, from new builds to regeneration and education. As part of a collaborative, multi-skilled team, you’ll work closely with internal and external partners to ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

Responsibilities:The Senior Project Manager will lead projects across multiple sectors, with key responsibilities including:

  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, presenting project schemes, setting project schedules, and addressing any issues affecting service delivery.
  • Contract Administration: Serve as the Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent across a range of building types, managing projects through all standard construction forms.
  • Professional Team Management: Appoint, oversee, and assess the performance of the professional team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Site Visits & Inspections: Conduct regular site visits, issue inspection reports, and ensure quality standards.
  • Feasibility & Appraisal Reporting: Prepare and present initial feasibility reports and appraisals, including outline design proposals and budget estimates.
  • Design & Documentation: Develop and present full working drawings, manage contract administration, and prepare and analyze tenders.
  • Delegation & Oversight: Delegate responsibilities to the project team, ensuring project goals and quality standards are consistently met.

Requirements:The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive, client-centered approach. Key qualifications include:

  • Education: BSc (Hons) degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management, with relevant project management experience.
  • Professional Membership: Associate membership of RICS or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in client liaison, contract administration, and project management, ideally within a multidisciplinary consultancy setting.
