Location: South East
Day Rate: 550-600 (Outside IR35)

A leading housing association in the South East is looking for an experienced **Interim Building Safety & Compliance Manager to join their team.

About the Client:

The organisation is a key player in the UK property sector, committed to upholding high standards of safety and compliance across its residential properties.

About the Role:

In this interim position, you will report to the Director of Facilities Management. Your primary focus will be to support the organization's health and fire safety initiatives. You will also identify opportunities for continuous improvement in building safety and compliance, helping to foster a strong safety culture within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure all business areas operate in compliance with the Building Safety Act.
- Confirm that all High-Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) meet the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022.

- Advisory Role:
- Provide timely and specialised professional and technical advice on building safety and compliance issues.
- Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on the Building Safety Act 2022.

- Team Management:
- Manage the Assistant Building Safety Manager, offering guidance to ensure effective compliance practices are followed.

- Defect Management:
- Oversee and resolve any defects related to life safety in site-based assets.

- Strategic Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for ongoing enhancement of building safety and health and safety practices.

Education & Qualifications:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Act 2021.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports for high-rise buildings.
- Proven experience in managing health and safety within residential settings.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent in Building Safety or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Risk-wise is desirable.
