Fire Safety Manager required for a Midlands based organisation who operate in the rail / transport sector
Client Details
Fire Safety Manager required for a Midlands based transportation / rail company to oversee a property portfolio consisting of office premises, stations & depots.
Description
- Work with key internal stakeholders such as Occupational Safety, Property, Fleet, Environmental
- Develop and implement a Fire Safety Strategy
- Support internal and third-party projects
- Engage with Property Project Managers, Health, Safety & Compliance Manager and Project Managers.
- Plan and conduct fire risk assessment surveys and prepare reports on findings.
- Liaise with and oversee the completion of corrective actions and findings from fire risk assessment reports,
- Provide in-house Fire Prevention Manager (Fire Marshall) training to employees
- Provide expert advice and support to develop arrangements relating to the management of emergencies from fires.
- Other reasonable duties as specified by the Head of Occupational Safety
Profile
- Experience in a similar role - ideally within the rail / transport system
- Membership of an appropriate Fire safety Engineering Institution (preferred)
- BSc or BEng in Fire Safety management
- Excellent knowledge of UK relevant Fire Safety Legislation and British Standards.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
- Effective communicator at all levels of the organisation; stakeholder management
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to project manage tasks from inception to completion
