Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a specialist manufacturer to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager for their Birmingham site. This role offers the opportunity to lead on-site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:

Promoting a positive health and safety culture, engaging with employees at all levels
Leading on the implementation of HSE for a new manufacturing programme launch
Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Supporting the site with risk assessments, incident investigations, and training initiatives

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:

Strong experience in a health and safety role, ideally within automotive or plastics manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment
A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others
