Senior Health and Safety Manager – Midlands / Hybrid Working – £65K - £75k + package

We are currently recruiting a Senior Health and Safety Manager to work on a major civil engineering / infrastructure project. Working for the client organisation, you will work closely with the integrated project teams to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained during the construction process.

The successful candidate will:
 

  • Develop and implement programmes in line with project Health and Safety targets.
  • Set the strategic direction, policy and systems in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental Management, Security, Quality and Assurance. 
  • To provide assurance to the Executive and Board, lead major strategic projects and offer expert advice to the business.
  • To develop a ‘Safe at heart’ culture throughout the supply chain, driving H&S performance beyond current industry best practice.
  • Act as the key point of contact for a specific project area
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the supply chain in order to enforce a positive safety culture across the project.

In order to be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold or be working towards CMIOSH status.
  • Experience of delivering assurance across a major programme, or a complex organisation, with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary Quality or Health & Safety team
  • Experience of leading complex and challenging investigations.
  • Hold or be working towards CMIOSH status.
  • Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or working towards
