The AP Partnership is based in Peterborough and is looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Consultant for the Birmingham area.

We pride ourselves on delivering a first-class personal service to our clients and our Consultants are at the forefront of our service delivery.

The successful Consultant will need to be passionate about Health & Safety with an engaging can do approach to delivering a bespoke and legally compliant service.

Our clients in this area are mainly small to medium sized businesses from the construction industry.If you believe you have the necessary skills, experience and personality to advise such clients then we would be delighted to hear from you.

This home-based role is ideal for candidates residing in the Birmingham area with the flexibility to commit to regional travel and some wider range travel as needed.

The Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Health and Safety services to clients including Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, auditing, reporting, and training.
  • Keeping Policies and associated documents up to date.
  • Completing sector accreditations.
  • Acting as the "Competent Person" on behalf of the company for your client portfolio.
  • Ensuring all client matters are progressed smoothly and respond to telephone and email queries in a timely fashion.

The ideal Health and Safety Consultant requires:

  • Membership with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is essential.
  • Preferably a diploma or degree level Health and Safety qualification.
  • Health and Safety experience in Consultancy or in the construction sector.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships.

The Consultant will need a strong generalist background and experience with appropriate technical and professional qualifications.

You should have current knowledge of health and safety law, strong interpersonal and written communication skills with solid organisational and time management ability.

You will need a full driving licence and access to your own car
