Are you a Contracts Manager looking for a new role?

I am looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a housing association in the West Midlands. The Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing and governing a portfolio of commercial contracts in order to drive increased value from suppliers whilst mitigating commercial and contractual risk.

Commercial Contracts Manager duties:
  • Manage and govern a portfolio of corporate contracts in order to drive increased value from the suppliers, mitigate commercial and contractual risk, and control and oversee spend.
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place in relation to the portfolio of corporate contracts and oversight is provided to relevant functions.
  • Own the relationship with key, corporate suppliers with a focus on supplier relationship management, developing effective working relationships with suppliers.
  • Provide expert commercial advice regarding contract management across the organisation, so that senior officers have in-depth analysis and can take well-informed decisions about contracting options/types and the management of major contractual relationships.
  • Support Contract Managers across the business and contribute towards development and improvement of contract management frameworks to optimise best practice and ensure that the organisation has appropriate mechanisms in place that minimise contractual and commercial risks.Play an influential role in advising, challenging, and influencing stakeholders in respect of contract management and other related matters.
  • Lead and oversee the work of complex contract negotiations and contract reviews to ensure contractual relationships support the organisation in delivering value, and to identify issues and improvements to contractual arrangements and terms that reduce risk and increase contract performance.
  • Lead and manage the evaluation of new commercial or contracting opportunities, or the systems and processes for effective management of contracts, so that services and value for money are improved.

What is required for the role:
  • A proven track record in Managing NEC partnering contracts
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Have proven experience managing commercial budgets
