Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage steelwork projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication and smooth collaboration.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are controlled, and delivering projects within financial targets.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and administration, ensuring all terms and conditions are met and understood by both parties.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards across all stages of the project, from design to installation.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients, highlighting project status, potential risks, and mitigations.
- Procurement and Subcontractor Management: Oversee procurement processes, ensuring the selection and management of subcontractors aligns with project requirements.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in steelwork projects (structural and architectural).
- Proven track record in contracts management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in project management software.
- A degree or relevant qualification in construction management or related fields is preferred but not essential.
