Mechanical Contracts Manager - Permanent – Birmingham - circa £75,000 - £80,000

AndersElite are recruiting for an Mechanical Contracts Manager for a national building services contractor based out of their Midlands office near Birmingham.

This is a permanent position (available February 2025 onwards) and will offer a salary, depending on experience, of approximately £75,000 - 80,000 per annum plus company benefits.

Our client develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe. They also offer turnkey design, build, and operational solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating plant schemes. They are also now one of the leading manufacturers in the delivery of De-Carbonisation projects

Reporting into the regional Director, the selected candidate will be required to manage Mechanical services site teams on new build and refurbishment projects, usually in the commercial and industrial project sectors with a focus on de-carbonisation schemes.

Typical projects will range from £1m up to £10m in building services value, so applicants should have proven experience as the overall mechanical lead on projects of this size in relevant building environments.

Applicants must be prepared to travel nationwide for site meetings and to manage project teams at close quarters when required. Outside of this the usual place of work will be in the regional office in Birmingham usually 3 days per week.

The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be commercially responsible for the running of allocated projects from inception through to completion, supporting design and project planning and managing the site installation team to deliver the project. The selected candidate will also contribute towards the final account performance working alongside the senior management team.

This position is available from February 2025, with applications welcome from candidates who are either immediately available or serving a notice period with their current employer.

This position offers a competitive salary and is largely dependent on experience so candidate led, however it is expected that basic salary range would be circa £75,000 - 80,000 per year with additional company benefits.

It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, although all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience.
