Regional Director / Responsible Individual Wolverhampton and Birmingham £60k+

JOB SUMMARY Regional Director / Responsible Individual

  • We require a Regional Director acting as our Responsible individual in Wolverhampton/Birmingham Region.
  • You will come to us with residential care experience to provide support, leadership, management and support across the homes in the region.
  • This successful candidate will also fulfil the role of Responsible Individual for all residential provisions in the region.
  • You will be a positive and influential Regional Director who will support the Operations Director in delivering the organisation’s strategy across all residential services.
  • This role is suited for a motivated and dedicated professional with experience in managing Ofsted inspections who can help support the homes towards obtaining outstanding Ofsted ratings.
  • You will report to the Operations Director.
  • With the direction of the Operations Director, you will also be required to be flexible to evaluate and allocate support, leadership and management focus for specific services, for example, in the absence of the home’s manager or when homes require more support.
  • As a key member of the Management Team, you will line manage the Registered Managers.
  • You will drive operational managerial leadership and delivery of the highest standard of quality, safe and effective services, so that these meet and exceed expectations, such as inspection outcomes, quality of service delivered, as well as drive occupancy and placements in the region
  • You will contribute to the development of the Organisation and promote the corporate aims and objectives of the company.
  • You will support a culture which embeds quality, safety and effectiveness to the services provided to our children and monitors its impact to ensure continuous improvement.
  • You will uphold the principles of enablement and co-production to ensure that services work in true partnership with individuals, that people are empowered to identify and achieve their aspirations.
  • You will work in partnership on the translation and delivery of company objectives, and the development and implementation of business plans and service advancement.
  • You will ensure effective communications and managerial understanding of agreed strategies, targets and objectives.
  • You will promote effective governance, ensuring all KPIs, targets and objectives are met in line with local and national standards.
  • As Regional Director, the post holder will ensure robust systems are implemented and used to support close partnership working with the Senior Management Team to ensure information pertaining to quality, occupancy, performance, governance and KPI’s is effectively coordinated and appropriately recorded, analysed and reported as required. Completion of audits and inspection-like visits will also be undertaken.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Regional Director / Responsible Individual

Required Experience and Qualifications: Regional Director / Responsible Individual

• NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, Children and Young People or equivalent.

• Extensive experience working in an EBD/LD children's home environment.

• Effective supervision and leadership skills

• A full UK Driving Licence

• Knowledge of the law, regulations, and standards and how to apply them

• Understanding policies and the running of a children’s care home

Understanding commercial targets budgets and aspects of the finanaces of the business.
