A close knit, family feel law firm based in Birmingham City Centre are seeking a confident, articulate and personable Learning and Development Advisor to join them on a full time, permanent basis working in a stand alone Learning and Development role. This is a unique opportunity for someone to take full ownership of all L&D practises and delivery within the firm and help with the development, retention and growth of the firm. The firm is an inclusive, forward thinking and family feel firm that prides itself on development and its strong culture. The successful candidate must have solid Learning and Development Advisory experience and be happy working in a standalone environment with the support of a close knit HR Team alongside it. This role is a varied L&D role which encompasses training creation, induction and training delivery.

Key tasks include:

  • First point of contact for all L&D queries.
  • Designing and delivering internal training courses, with particular focus on IT systems and soft skills.
  • Overseeing and delivering the induction process for new joiners.
  • Coordinate internal professional development programmes, such as leadership development. •
  • Coordinating all mandatory Training courses
  • Maintaining L&D Systems
  • Booking of training events and liaising with training providers and speakers
  • Managing relationships internally and externally.

The successful candidate must have a solid background within Learning and Development within ideally any professional services industry. Ideally you will have worked in a standalone L&D role previously and your CIPD qualifications or similar. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role alongside confidence and strong written skills.

This role is fully office based for the first 6 months until the completion of your probation and then it will move to a hybrid role, 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home though flexibility is important especially around induction times.
