Credit Controller - Birmingham | £28,000 - £30,000 + Yearly Bonus | Growing Transport Business

Gleeson is excited to be partnering with a thriving transport company in Birmingham that is continuing to grow! Due to expansion, the finance team is increasing from three to four, and they're looking for a confident Credit Controller to come in and hit the ground running. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is going from strength to strength. You'll be working in a supportive, collaborative team, with the chance to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining the credit control function, ensuring timely collections
  • Building strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth payment processes
  • Reducing aged debt and improving cash flow through proactive credit management
  • Handling queries and resolving disputes efficiently
  • Assisting with reporting and supporting the wider finance team as needed

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a credit control role
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines
  • Confidence in handling difficult conversations professionally
  • Experience in the transport or logistics sector is a plus but not essential
