Data Management Analyst

  • Location: Birmingham
  • £500 per day INSIDE IR35
  • 6 Month contract (opportunity for extensions)
  • Hybrid working pattern flexible 1-2 days onsite

Experienced Data Management Analyst to join a data strategy programme. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data through comprehensive analysis and quality assurance processes.

The Data Management Analyst will play a key role in a matrixed team, working closely with other Programme colleagues they will proactively advise on data quality best practices.The Data Management analyst will play an instrumental role in supporting work related to data accuracy, proactive regulation, and related analytics.

The analyst will work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, business process re-engineering, and provide insights to improve data management.

MS Azure Stack, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM, Power BI, Microsoft Data Factory, PowerApps.Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Databricks would also be advantageous.

Key responsibilities may include: - Lead engagement with stakeholders at all levels to investigate and model business processes, information flows, data structures and solutions to identified problems and deliver complex change using a range of business analysis techniques. - Convert high level business requirements into clear technical specifications, process flow diagrams, and queries. - Engage with internal teams and gather requirements for business process re-engineering and automation. - Effectively summarise, present actional insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders. - Design new analytical workflows, processes, and/or optimise existing workflows. - Define, implement and improve Data Management methodologies, templates and best practice. - Consult with internal stakeholders on data quality and work with them to set up remediation and monitoring. - Participate in data profiling and data cleansing activities to enhance overall data quality. - Establish, analyse and maintain the Data Quality Reports - Monitor data processing activities that ensure compliance with data protection regulations. - Contribute to deliver high-end data quality reports in the Data Catalogue and Quality workstream. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Critical thinking with the ability to identify and relate business problems to data quality matters.
  • Deep experience working with SQL, Azure Data Factory, Excel, Power BI and data analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience in data modelling and data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships that result in adoption of data quality principles.
  • Knowledge and skills in data management methodologies and tools with a proven track record of successfully delivering Data Management projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalising data management guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to consistently deliver high quality output in a fast-paced environment, handle ambiguity and prioritise multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Able to navigate complex environments and willingness to learn new business processes, tools and techniques.
  • Project management and documentation experience is desired.
  • Experience of a range of statistical and analytical methodologies and the use of data management packages.

Candidates will be required to undertake a basic criminal record check and travel to Birmingham weekly.
